Just checked gorgeous jewelry created by Valerie Ostenak. Her work is an on going dialogue between her blacksmith forging techniques, her silversmith craftsmanship and her design skills in art jewelry is superb.

Her collections celebrate the contours and shapes suggested by all sorts of complex forms found in nature. Her Elemental Collection features silver, argentium silver, 14k gold, freshwater pearls, gemstones and Swarovski crystals in myriad curvilinear designs. Also, one can see Art Nouveau influences in her work.

A Jewelry every day – Urban Copper Cuff Bracelet

Continuing with the series, the second creation to get featured is this lovely bracelet by Stacy Jay Jewelry.

This piece is an Urban Copper Cuff Bracelet for men or women. The copper was cut from a sheet and annealed. (Heated to change the metal properties and to make it more flexible). It was then fold formed – hammered and strung steel washers down the cuff with copper wire. Having cold connections, or rivets for the end caps.

It also has a gunsmoke patina on the cuff, which was polished off lightly. There is red on the metal from when it was heated. Its cool, comfortable to wear and has an urban feel to it. To be worn by a man or a woman. It is 6 1/4 inches around, so it will fit a medium or large wrist. Its also 1 1/4 inch wide.
