Finally a good news in the time of recession for job seekers. The Gemological Institute of America (GIA) announced that its GIA Career Search Engine has more than 300-plus active gem and jewelry industry positions available.

The Career Search Engine is free, open to anyone and is continuously updated with new gem and jewelry career listings.

Available careers include jewelry buyers, appraisers, business development associates, vice presidents, marketing creative directors and more. Some of the companies listing positions include: Damiani, Blue Nile, Inc., Stuller, Inc. and Tiffany & Co.

The available positions span the world, from the U.S., Canada, France and India to Japan, the Cayman Islands and Saudi Arabia.  The jobs range from entry-level to executive titles and vary widely in description.
